Hello!

My name is Marnelle but most people call me Marnie. I was born and raised in Cebu City, Philippines where I grew up watching cartoons and reading comics. I drew my inspiration from them and developed a knack for the arts: drawing, writing, designing, etc!
In 2014, I moved to Los Angeles, California to be with family where I worked various jobs from retail to warehousing. Ultimately, I realized that these jobs weren't for me, so I decided to pursue my education, eventually moving to Houston, Texas to do so.
Armed with an degree in Game Design and Simulation for artists, I aspire to use my 2D and 3D skills to design and create art and games to bring not only joy but knowledge and inspiration to people of all ages.

VIBE XP's
THE COLDEST WINTER
2D Artist & Community Manager
On November 2023, I took a vacation to NYC with family and not only returned with beautiful memories of subways, Lady Liberty, and bright red cardinals, but also... a job with Vibe XP!
As a newly graduate at the time, it was an unexpected and exciting turn-of-events that has since challenged all my skills and experience as an artist who is (and will continually be) part of amazing teams of multi-talented individuals.
All these and the desire to pursue my dream of spreading joy through game design encourages me to continue evolving and upgrading my arsenal of skills as a concept artist and illustrator!
This picture was taken on March 2024 in the middle of GDC (Game Developer Conference) week. While I couldn't join the team attending in San Francisco, I celebrated in Austin proudly wearing our El Ultimo Invierno shirt and helped moderate the livestream of our presentation on social media for our budding fan base to see! >>
We also participated in the Game Devs of Color Expo on September 2024 where The Coldest Winter (TCW) was one of the games featured and introduced as an up & coming horror game! For this, the team decided to celebrate each other by showcasing our talents as well as our cultural backgrounds through short video interviews, broadcasted on our Steam page and livestreamed on Twitch during the event.
<< Here's mine! It also shows a short & sweet speed-paint process I've done with Jovanna. Edited by Evan Hernandez.
